1. Who this page is for
- Business owners — operators who signed up at agent-eq.com and connected their Meta channels (WhatsApp Business, Instagram, Facebook Pages).
- End customers — individuals who messaged a business through a Meta channel where AgentEQ's AI agent responded on the business's behalf.
2. What data we hold
Depending on how you interacted with AgentEQ, we may hold:
- Your name, profile picture, and platform-scoped user ID (Page-Scoped ID, Instagram-Scoped ID, or WhatsApp phone number).
- Messages exchanged between you and the connected business, including any media attachments you sent.
- Conversation metadata: timestamps, channel of origin, language detected.
- For business owners: email address, business profile information, billing identifiers (Stripe customer ID), and Meta access tokens stored AES-256 encrypted at rest.
We do not sell your data and we do not use the content of customer messages to train third-party AI models.
3. How to request deletion
Fastest path — email us:
Send a deletion request to [email protected] with the subject line Data Deletion Request.
Please include:
- The channel you used (WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, or web chat).
- One identifier that lets us locate your data:
- WhatsApp: the phone number you messaged from.
- Instagram: your IG username, or a screenshot of the conversation.
- Messenger: your Facebook display name, or a screenshot.
- Business owner: the email you signed up with.
- The name or handle of the business you were messaging (if you are an end customer).
4. Business owners — self-serve deletion
If you signed up for an AgentEQ account, you can delete your account and all associated data directly from the dashboard:
- Sign in at platform.agent-eq.com.
- Navigate to Settings → Security → Delete account.
- Confirm the action with the one-time code we email you. This action is irreversible.
Account deletion immediately revokes all connected Meta access tokens at the source, removes your WhatsApp / Instagram / Messenger channel configurations, cancels any active Stripe subscriptions, and erases stored conversations, message templates, and business profile data from our production systems.
5. End customers — disconnecting from a business
If you no longer wish a business to be able to message you through AgentEQ on WhatsApp:

STOPto any message from the business — you will be opted out of future template messages. - Block the business's WhatsApp number from your phone.
On Instagram and Messenger, you can also delete the entire conversation thread from your inbox or block the business's account. To have your conversation history additionally deleted from AgentEQ's servers, email us as described in section 3.
6. What we delete and when
Within 30 days of a valid deletion request we will:
- Permanently delete the personal data we hold about you from our production database.
- Purge associated conversation history, media attachments, and AI-generated transcripts.
- Revoke any Meta access tokens associated with your account by calling Meta's
DELETE /me/permissionsGraph API endpoint, so the tokens are invalidated at Meta and cannot be replayed. - Confirm completion by replying to the email address you used to make the request.
Encrypted backups are rotated on a 30-day cycle and your data will be purged from backups within that window. We may retain a minimal record of the deletion request itself (for example, "Account X was deleted on date Y") where required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
7. Revoking AgentEQ's access on Meta
You can remove AgentEQ's permissions directly from Meta at any time:
- Facebook / Messenger / Instagram: go to Facebook Settings → Business Integrations, find AgentEQ, and click Remove.
- WhatsApp Business: go to Meta Business Suite → WhatsApp Accounts, select your WABA, and remove AgentEQ under Connected Apps.
Removing AgentEQ in Meta stops further data sharing immediately. To also delete the data we have already stored, follow section 3 or section 4.
